1) Checks for complete Subscriber Information: your SI#, first and last name, address, phone #, credit card # and expiration date are all required in order to place an IaI order. Use the Subscriber Info dialog box to complete this info (from the Nautilus Link menu).
2) Installs the Instant INIT in your system folder (in Extension folder if you're using System 7.x).
The Instant INIT is important to you for a few key reasons.
First, whenever you purchase IaI software, the "keys" that unlock that part of the disc and make it available to you are stored in the Instant INIT.
Second, you'll want to be sure that you have a backup of the Instant INIT file in case something (virus, hard disk crash, etc.) should happen to your system.
Third, if you have a virus checker installed, you should to be aware that an IaI purchase transaction updates the Instant INIT which can cause some virus checkers to sound off.
(There is a known problem with the Instant INIT running on Mac Quadras. Quadra users will need to use an init manager such as "Init Picker" to disable the Instant Init or use ResEdit to change the file type of the Instant Init from "INIT" to "XIAI".)
NOTE: Be sure the Nautilus disc is in your CD ROM drive. This is where Nautilus expects to find the Instant INIT that must be installed.
